The melodies and lyrics of Highlands Worship‘s latest album “Prayers to the King” were produced with the intention of creating a calming yet inspiring time of worship. Imagine pausing during a chaotic day or drifting off to sleep as (one of my favorite tunes from the album) “You’re Coming (Pray)” lulls the din and helps you refocus on the importance of believing in the promises of God.
An arm of Church of the Highlands based in Alabama, Highlands Worship is “a collective team of pastors, musicians, worship leaders, and songwriters who serve every week” at campuses around the state. The album is available wherever music streams, but was written and recorded especially for the Pray First app which was created by Church of the Highlands as free resource for individuals and churches.
“Our prayer is that the playlist of songs in the app is way more than just music— we hope it helps people encounter God in a real way,” says Chris Griffin.
